I'm Ramsey — the filmmaker and photographer behind Moonridge.

For more than seven years, I worked behind the scenes in the wedding industry as a venue manager, helping coordinate and oversee more than 300 weddings. Being that close to so many couples and families on one of the most important days of their lives gave me a deep appreciation for how much care, planning, and emotion goes into a wedding day.

At the same time, I’ve spent the past eight years working in creative filmmaking — producing narrative work, business branding and music videos. Over time, it became clear that weddings were the perfect place to bring both worlds together: using my understanding of how a wedding unfolds, and my ability to tell a story through film and photography.

My approach is a blend of documentary-style with a cinematic eye. I love capturing the real, unscripted moments that happen naturally — the laughs, the nerves, the quiet looks between family members. No stiff poses, no manufactured emotion — just your day, documented the way it actually felt.

What inspires me most is the magic that unfolds when a couple is surrounded by the people who matter most to them. Being able to preserve that feeling forever — that's what this is all about.

Moonridge covers both photo and video. On larger weddings I bring in a trusted team, and because I work in both mediums myself, nothing falls through the cracks or feels disconnected.

I grew up in inner Northeast Portland and still call the Pacific Northwest home. When I’m not filming weddings or working on creative projects, you’ll probably find me in the mountains snowboarding, exploring the outdoors, or spending time with my family — which is probably why capturing moments between families on wedding days means so much to me.
